USQ Updates High Performance Program Policy and Guidelines

US Quadball has updated the High Performance Program Policy and Guidelines, revising the structure and expectations governing the US National Team (USNT) and US National Team Developmental Academy (USNTDA).

The updated policy was developed by USQ CEO Amanda Dallas and High Performance Program staff, including USNT Manager Hanna Reese and USNT Head Coach Kennedy Murphy. All contributors have national team experience.

The policy more clearly defines the responsibilities of volunteer staff and acknowledges the financial limitations that can come with those positions. It also updates player eligibility and roster guidelines.

Most notably, the provision limiting players to two IQA World Cup rosters within a five-year period has been removed. There is now no USQ-imposed limit on the number of IQA World Cups in which a player may compete, provided they earn a roster spot. Additionally, the maximum number of USNT players from the same USQ program on an event roster has increased from four to six, allowing for the inclusion of a full pre-seeker on pitch line from the same program. Is has also been clarified that this restriction applies only to official IQA event rosters. The USNT Head Coach may appeal for additional players from the same program when necessary to field the strongest viable roster. There is no USQ program-affiliation limit for USNTDA rosters.

These changes are designed to create a more sustainable High Performance Program that recognizes the realities of a volunteer-led structure while continuing to build national teams capable of medaling internationally.
