About the USNT & USNTDA
USNT
The United States National Team (USNT) is the official Quadball™ team of the United States. The team is regulated by US Quadball and is a national member of the International Quadball Association. The team has won the most IQA World Cup titles, winning the 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2023 titles. The USNT competes in the IQA World Cup every two years and has won the inaugural IQA Pan-American Games in 2019.
USNTDA
Created in April 2019, the United States National Team Developmental Academy (USNTDA) fosters future USNT talent. The team is regulated by US Quadball. Though ineligible to compete in official International Quadball Association events, the USNTDA participates in USNT training camps and competes against international teams in friendlies.
As reigning global champions the US National Team (USNT) and USNT Developmental Academy (USNTDA) were featured on ESPN: The Ocho in 2022.

STANDING TEAM
The USNT follows a standing team model; no athlete on the USNT standing roster is guaranteed play time or a tournament roster spot at any point during their time on the USNT standing roster. While there are designated periods for mass additions and cuts, the USNT head coach may add or cut a player when they deem necessary.
Visit the join the USNT/USNTDA page for application information and eligibility requirements.
TRAINING CAMPS
To avoid tryout fatigue, the USNT does not host open tryouts in every region each season.
Training camps are held in late fall and early spring. They are three to four hours in length. Athletes planning to attend are required to pay a registration fee unless they have already been placed on the USNT standing roster or in the USNTDA. The current registration fee is $25. For non-USQ members, it is $35. These fees go toward the cost of tryouts and USNT fundraising.
In addition to attendance at open training camps, play throughout the USQ and MLQ seasons, public persona and disciplinary history are taken into consideration. Anonymous scouts from across the US have been selected by the head coach to observe prospects. They periodically provide the USNT head coach with their feedback, which is used to make roster decisions.
Closed training camps are held twice a year, at minimum, for the existing standing team roster. The exact dates and times are determined based on the American quadball calendar, however, the following are potential time periods:
The week prior to IQA World Cup or the Continental Games
A weekend in December/January
Sundays following major, recurring regular-season tournaments such as Crescent City Invitational, Oktoberfest Invitational, etc.
Training camps will be listed under USQ events.
