Bid Manual

Deadlines/Process

  • All proposals are due to USQ by July 12, 2024. Any questions can be directed to bidding@usquadball.org.

    • Submissions can be either emailed to bidding@usquadball.org as a formal bid packet, or fill out the bid submission form here.

  • USQ will notify all applicants if they have been selected as a semi-finalist by August 12, 2024.

  • Site visits may take place on a rolling basis as bids are received and post semi-finalist announcement if a site visit has not already happened and is needed.

  • Finalists will be announced by January 2025.

    • Once selected as a finalist, a deal memo must be signed to confirm the basic agreed upon terms of the bid. A contract will then follow after the public announcement is made to finalize the bid agreement details.

DEI Values

USQ expects a host city, venue, etc., to be welcoming and safe for people of all backgrounds, including BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities. Cities/states with discriminatory legislation or policies that restrict the rights of marginalized communities will be weighed when evaluating a bid.

Restrictions on Hosting US Quadball Cup

US Quadball’s board of directors met on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, and passed with a unanimous vote to “reject USQ Cup host bids from states that have passed anti-trans legislation, which include but are not limited to bathroom bills and ‘license to discriminate’ bills, for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 season.” This goes into effect immediately. You can read the full article and details here.

In the United States, there are currently 13 states that have restrictive bathroom bills or licenses to discriminate bills geared towards medical treatment at hospitals for an injury. The following states are unable to host US Quadball Cup at this time due to this state restriction in place. USQ will regularly update this list as applicable.
