USQ could not run without the invaluable support of volunteers. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, USQ can sign service hour verification forms, and as such, volunteering can count towards service or volunteer requirements for individuals or teams. Volunteering commitment is 2-5 hours a week, with the ability to scale week-to-week to best fit with your schedule.

COLLEGIATE GROWTH DEPARTMENT

  • The Collegiate Growth Director oversees all initiatives to expand and strengthen college quadball programs across the country. This volunteer leads the Collegiate Growth Department and works closely with the US Quadball CEO to create and implement long-term strategies for recruitment and retention.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and manage the Collegiate Growth Department volunteers

    • Develop a strategic plan for college quadball recruitment and retention

    • Coordinate department-wide initiatives with other USQ departments

MEMBERSHIP DEPARTMENT

  • The USQ Membership Director leads USQ’s Membership Department, including regional coordinators, the USQ Enrollment Coordinator, and other roles supporting USQ’s members. This position works closely with the CEO to ensure the department provides strong support and resources for USQ members.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise department projects and progress

    • Leading department and, if applicable, team meetings

    • Supervise team leads (if applicable) or act as team lead where none is present

    • Suggest funding requests for organizational and project budgets to the executive team

    • Coordinate social activities for the department, with support from team leads

    • Serve as point of contact for the Membership Department

  • The USQ Enrollment Coordinator provides administrative support to college members by tracking enrollment requirements. They ensure that all college teams and players complete their enrollment and work closely with other staff and volunteers in the USQ Events, Gameplay, and Membership Departments.

    This is a year-round volunteer position. In the off-season, this individual will support other membership functions that may be of interest.

  • The US Quadball conference coordinator acts as a representative for and liaison to quadball conferences. The conference coordinator is a volunteer within the Membership Department and reports directly to the membership director.

EVENTS DEPARTMENT

  • The Events Manager oversees key aspects of US Quadball’s event operations, coordinating logistics and supporting the successful execution of league events. This volunteer manages vendor outreach, contracting, social activities, and organizational resources to ensure smooth event planning and delivery. This volunteer reports to the USQ Events Director.

  • The Grants Coordinator manages the financial aspects of grants, from application budgets to post-award reporting. This volunteer ensures compliance with grant restrictions and accurate accounting of funds. The Grants Coordinator reports to the Finance Director.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the USQ membership grants program

    • Research and apply for grants on behalf of USQ

    • Assist in developing grant budgets for applications

    • Track and report on grant income and expenditures

    • Ensure compliance with grant restrictions and guidelines

    • Provide financial data for grant reporting and audits

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with grant writing, management, or reporting

    • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills

    • Available to volunteer at least five hours per week

  • The Sponsorship Coordinator helps align sponsorship efforts with financial planning and tracking. This volunteer ensures accurate reporting, invoicing, and delivery of benefits for US Quadball sponsorships. The position reports to both the Finance and Compliance Department Lead (Board Treasurer) and the CEO.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct sponsorship outreach

    • Assist the CEO in sponsorship negotiations

    • Track sponsorship income and related expenses

    • Ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments

    • Maintain financial records tied to sponsorship contracts

    • Support coordination of sponsor deliverables across departments

    • Provide reporting on sponsorship-related revenue streams

The position reports to both the Finance and Compliance Department Lead (Board Treasurer).

  • The Budget Forecast Specialist helps US Quadball with financial planning by building spreadsheets, modeling scenarios, and stress-testing budgets. This volunteer reports to the Finance Director.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop budget forecasts and financial models

    • Stress-test budgets under different scenarios

    • Maintain and update financial spreadsheets for the league

    • Provide analysis and recommendations to support financial decision-making

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets

    • Experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning

    • Available to volunteer at least 5 hours per week

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of Quickbooks preferred

    • Prior experience forecasting or modeling nonprofit budgets

  • The US Quadball Bookkeeper supports the Finance Department by ensuring financial accuracy and accountability. This volunteer assists with reconciliations, helps catch errors, and will eventually oversee payouts to officials. The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Finance Director.

    This is a year-round volunteer position.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review and verify financial reconciliations

    • Identify and correct financial errors

    • Support accurate bookkeeping and reporting in QuickBooks

    • Take over responsibility for processing payouts to officials

    • Assist with preparation of financial reports as needed

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience with QuickBooks or nonprofit accounting

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

    • Available to volunteer at least three hours per week

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior nonprofit bookkeeping experience

    • Experience managing financial disbursements
