Board Chair

Joseph “Joey” Galtelli

Joey Galtelli (He/Him) has been part of the Quadball community since 2012 where he joined Winthrop University's team in South Carolina. He’s played almost every role you can in the sport; player, captain, coach, ref, snitch, volunteer, TD, etc. and helped create three club teams: Southern Storm (2014-2018), Quidditch Club Dallas (2018-2022), and Southwest Alliance (2022-Present) and played with MLQ's Austin Outlaws in the 2022 summer. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Psychology from Winthrop in 2015, Galtelli obtained his Master's in Human Resources from the University of South Carolina in 2017 and moved to Dallas, Texas in 2018 to work for PepsiCo. He also married his best friend and first co-captain in 2018, Zoe. Galtelli has experience with data analytics, organizational efficiency, and strategic planning with areas of focus in compensation analytics. Even though Galtelli has retired from playing the sport, he hopes he can still give back to the community that has given him so much.

Josh Dunning

Josh Dunning (He/Him) is a Technical Product Owner living in Fort Collins, Colorado. He attended Baylor University where he started playing Quadball in 2018 and graduated with his BBA in Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in 2020. Since graduating from Baylor Josh has played in the club division for both QC Dallas in 2021 and currently Mile High Quadball Club. Outside of Quadball, Josh enjoys hiking in the mountains near Fort Collins, traveling with his girlfriend and hanging out with his cat Ahsoka. Josh brings expertise in management and strategic planning and is excited for the opportunity to give back to the community and sport.

William “Clay” Dockery

William Clayton "Clay" Dockery (they/them) is the Director of Operations for an educational non-profit based in Bronx, NY. They received their B.A. in history and philosophy from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs! Sic 'em! Woof Woof Woof!) and their Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary. They have been an active member of the Quadball community since starting as a player and referee in 2010. Since then they have served on the USQ Rules Team, the MLQ rules and events teams, the IQA RDT, and as a founding member of the USQ Referee Team among many other positions over the years. Outside of work and Quadball, Clay is a writer and actor. They have been a steady presence on stage and screen and contribute regular commentary on culture and television for TVObsessive.com. They live in New York City with their partner and their two chonky cats.

Kristin “Kenken” Ladia

Kristin "Kenken" Ladia (she/they) is a Product Owner based in Florida. She received her B.S. in Bioengineering and Software Engineering from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she began playing Quadball in 2013, and received her Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida. Kenken is active in the Quadball community as a referee, a member of Category 5 Quadball Club. Outside work and Quadball, she volunteers with a civil liberties non-profit and competes in hackathons and anime conventions contests.

Nathan Digmann

Nathan (he/him) graduated from Marquette University in May 2017 with degrees in business economics and finance. He currently works as a financial advisor with Wipfli Financial Advisors, LLC, where he focuses on supporting individuals and families in managing change and transitions in their financial lives. An active member of the USQ community, Nathan started playing for Marquette University in fall 2013. He served in various roles there, including president and head coach. He has been the head coach for Major League Quadball's Indianapolis Intensity for multiple seasons and has served as head coach of Boom Train since co-founding the team before the 2018-19 USQ season.

Shirley Lu

Shirley Lu (she/her) was introduced to Quadball in the summer of 2010 and started playing in 2011 with her college team, the Whomping Wellesleys. Since then, she has been a player, captain, and manager for Silicon Valley Skrewts (USQ), San Francisco Argonauts (MLQ), Bay Area Breakers (USQ), and San Francisco Fog (WCQ). In 2016, Lu started contributing to Quadball media as a photographer and has covered many players, teams, and tournaments at many events across the United States. She has also been a long-time volunteer for USQ. She helped organize USQ Northeast Regionals in 2012 and 2013, World Cups 6 and 7; served on USQ's first DEI committee; contributed as a USQ web developer; and served as a USQ West Region Coordinator. Lu is a software engineer in her professional life, with experience at Apple and Humane and in highly cross-functional environments to collaborate, develop, and launch significant products for iCloud and Apple Music. She also received a high-impact non-profit board service certificate from TurnOut's QBC.

Bernardo Berges

Bernardo Berges (he/him) joined Quadball in 2013 when he was looking for a new sport to try at the University of Miami. He graduated from The U with degrees in Business Technology and Political Science. Over the past 10 years, he has been involved as a player, referee, tournament director, coach, and captain. In 2016, Bernardo represented the US National Team at the World Cup in Frankfurt, Germany. Currently, he is a coach with the District of Columbia Quadball Club. Outside of Quadball, Bernardo works as a Quality Assurance Analyst in Washington DC. He also has entrepreneurial experience from his time working in the Dominican Republic.

Harry Greenhouse

Harry Greenhouse (he/him) started playing Quadball in 2011 at the University of Maryland. He graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and currently works as a Physical Education Teacher. Harry has been incredibly active in the Quadball community after college as well. He has been a coach for several teams including Boston University’s team, as well as volunteered as a gameplay coordinator for USQ and now runs the Massachusetts Quadball Conference as its commissioner. Harry’s focus in Quadball is to have as many people join and enjoy the sport as he has and to spread the sport across the country.

Alex Benepe

Alex Benepe was the founder and first CEO of US Quidditch, now called US Quadball, and is formerly the Vice President of Innovations for CircusTrix. Previously he has worked as an account executive, social media director, and consultant at PMG Public Relations, Phil & Co digital marketing, and Manhattan Media. Alex received a Runner Up award for PR Event of the Year from PR Week magazine in 2009 for orchestrating the Middlebury Quidditch Spring Break tour. His PR and media talents have helped earn the sport of Quadball more than a billion media impressions since 2008.

Megan Anderson

Megan Anderson (she/her) is responsible for the day to day operations of the league and the planning and execution of USQ’s membership program. Anderson is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with ten years of non-profit experience working on festivals, Broadway shows, international programs, and other projects. She’s been involved with the Quadball community since 2012, having served in a number of different volunteer roles for USQ from executive assistant to Alex Benepe, hospitality manager at US Quadball Cup, and strategic planning support.
