Kennedy Murphy Promoted to U.S. National Team Head Coach

US Quadball is proud to announce the promotion of Kennedy Murphy to Head Coach of the U.S. National Team.

Although Murphy has only been part of the U.S. National Team program for just over a year, her impact in that time has been immediate and substantial. She served as an assistant coach with the national team in Belgium and was hired last year as an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team Development Academy. While she was unable to travel with the USNTDA to Spain, Murphy played a key behind-the-scenes role through detailed film reviews and strategic preparation leading into international competition.

Murphy brings an extensive background as both a player and coach at the highest levels of the sport. She captained Loyola University Chicago during the 2019-20 season, where she first began to show the leadership that has defined her career. She went on to serve as an assistant coach with Major League Quadball’s Indianapolis Intensity for multiple seasons, helping guide the program to a North Division Championship in 2019. From 2021 through 2025, Murphy continued her assistant coaching success with Boom Train, earning multiple regional titles and a national championship in 2024. Since 2023, she has led MLQ’s Chicago Prowl as head coach, capturing consecutive North Division championships and back-to-back national runner-up finishes.

“Kennedy’s rapid rise as a coach speaks volumes about her preparation, instincts, and leadership,” said Amanda Dallas, CEO of US Quadball. “In just one year within the USNT/DA program, she has established herself as a trusted leader, and I’m excited to see her leave her mark on the USNT program.”

As head coach, Murphy will lead the USNT through upcoming training cycles and international competition and contribute to long-term program development. The next USNT tryout will take place this weekend on Sunday, Dec. 7 at Quadballfest in Cabarrus County, N.C.

Applications for USNT assistant coach are now open. Interested parties may apply here.
