USQ’s final National Qualifier of the 2023-24 season takes place at Wendel-Whisenhunt Sports Complex in Oklahoma City, OK in partnership with Visit OKC. This tournament will have eleven collegiate and club teams compete for bids in each division to US Quadball Cup 2024. Information on how to stay updated on the action is below.

Schedule
Games start at 8:00 am CST on Saturday, February 24 and continue on Sunday, February 25 starting at 8:00 am PST.

Gameplay Format
For college, pool play will commence over day 1 and day 2. Upon the completion of pool play, bracket will commence. The 1st and 2nd place team will compete for the ultimate winner of the event, and the loser will face off against the 3rd place team for the final D1 and first D2 bid. On the lower end of the bracket, the 4th, 5th, and 6th place teams will face off for the final D2 bid. 5th and 6th will play first with the winner competing against 4th.
For club, round robin will commence day 1. On day 2, bracket play will commence. In the play in game, the 4th and 5th seeded team will compete. In the 1st full round, the 1st seeded team will compete against the winner of the play in game, and the 2nd/3rd seeded teams will compete. Finally, the final 2 club teams will face off for a bid to US Quadball Cup 2024.

Watching Online
All games on pitch one will be streamed on USQ’s YouTube. We recommend following the YouTube channel in advance in order to receive notifications when matches go live.

Restrooms will be available on-site, including a gender neutral restroom.
Weather
USQ Staff has been monitoring the weather for the past few weeks, looking primarily at the forecast from the National Weather Service. We will also be conducting an on-site inspection of the fields on Friday of the event.
Play will be stopped for 30 minutes when there is a lightning strike within 10 miles. Any additional lightning will reset the 30 minute clock. The Tournament Director will be the primary point of contact for all staff and officials in accordance with the suspended game procedure. After 30 minutes has passed with no additional lightning within a 10 mile radius, play may resume at the determination of the weather monitor and/or USQ staff. After the “all clear” and park readiness is determined, park occupants may return and resume park activities.
In the event of a stoppage of play due to weather, everyone will be given directions for proper evacuation and shelter by tournament staff. In the event of a stoppage of play due to high wind or a significant delay due to thunder or lightning, park occupants are not allowed on the fields and are recommended to shelter in their vehicles. Teams may also go back to their hotel.
USQ National Qualifier staff will be sending out message updates regarding the weather and any schedule changes through text message and announcements onsite.
