Volunteer

US Quadball could not succeed without the hard work and time from many volunteers! Now is your chance to get more involved with USQ and volunteer. Volunteering can be a low commitment – as low as 1 to 2 hours per week. The following departments and teams are seeking volunteers:

Gameplay

Gameplay Officials Team

The gameplay officials team is seeking referees and flag runners to get more involved in improving Quadball officiating.

Gameplay Rules Team

Have you read the rulebook cover to cover? Do you enjoy finding loopholes in the rules? Have strong opinions about what rules need to change? Join the rules team to help edit the next edition of USQ’s rulebook.

Gameplay Operations Team

Do you spend too long debating tournament formats? Have strong opinions on how to provide the best competitive experience for teams? Or just want to run a Swiss format tournament? Perhaps you’d like to join the gameplay gameplay team. Note that this team requires a significant time commitment.

Gameplay Risk Management

If you’re a public health or medical professional interested in making Quadball safer and looking into injury data, reach out to join the Risk Management team.

Membership

The membership department is looking for people interested in interacting with team leaders and ensuring member satisfaction.

Membership Outreach Team

The membership department is seeking greater feedback and communication with teams. In service of this, we are creating an outreach team, responsible for checking in with teams. If you enjoy getting to know people, chatting about Quadball, and recruiting, help us start up this new team!

Marketing and Social Media

Livestream and Content

Do you like having high-quality streams and game footage? Do you like sharing great quadball clips on social media? Most importantly, do you want to see more of all these?

The livestream and video teams are always looking for more help, both on-site at events and for editing that footage afterward. Whether you have professional video editing experience, or just know how to hold a camera, all skill levels are welcome.

We’re looking for help in building, organizing, and updating content on our websites (usquadball.org and usquadballcup.com). If you have experience in Squarespace, or are looking to gain experience in website development, we’d love to have you!

Love being on instagram? Know all the memes? Keep up to date with social trends? We’ve got you covered. Gain volunteer experience while doing what you love! Help the team create engaging content, communicate important updates, and more!

Events

The Events department is seeking organized, detail oriented people to help the ongoing Events strategy for USQ. Events volunteers will help make decisions about USQ hosted events, support tournament directors in hosting local tournaments, engage with city partners, and at times assist with site visits for future locations!
