From the Desk of the CEO: New Year’s Bingo

CEO

To help kick off the new year, we shared a New Year’s Bingo card designed to encourage engagement on and off the field. The card includes a mix of competitive goals, community-building efforts, and small individual actions that help strengthen you, your team, and the league. If you took one look and felt instantly overwhelmed, this cheat sheet is for you.

Register for USQ (free space)

  • I know, I know. It’s not really “free” but it’s the free space because you should’ve already done this! If you haven’t, you can do so today.

Arrive at the field 10 mins early

  • Give the field managers a break in 2026.

Run a tournament

Up your team’s Insta game

  • We even made a guide to help you do this.

Thank a volunteer

  • Don’t want to make a public showing? Email info@usquadball.org and we’ll forward it to the volunteer!

Recruit five new players

Intro yourself to someone on another team

  • Dear extroverts, here’s another free space for you. To the introverts, here’s another how to.

Complete a workout program

  • Not sure where to start? Shoot two-time USQ national champion Sena Morimoto an email at sena@thecoesoccer.com for more info on his speed training and other programs.

Have two certified HRs on roster

  • Get certified. Ref games. Profit. You’re going to tournaments anyway, might as well make some money.

Score a goal or grab a flag

  • Just do it.

Play in a fantasy tournament

  • Keep an eye on the USQ calendar to find out when and where fantasy tournaments are taking place in 2026. If you want to knock this off your list in January, you can attend SHSU’s SLAMTA in Huntsville, Texas on Jan. 10.

Team scavenger hunt

  • Trust me, this will be the off-the-field highlight of your season! If you need a list, email USQ Board Member Annika Kim at annika.kim@usquadball.org and you can copy her work.

Ask five companies to sponsor your team

  • Who cares if they say no? If they say yes, it’s money or product you didn’t have before. I put together a sponsorship guide and sample packet you can use. You can find it at the bottom of our resources page

Follow USQ on Insta and TikTok

Get a friend/family member to buy a USQ Cup ticket

  • Make sure they get the early bird deal! On Feb. 1, prices will increase. We recommend the VIP option so your friends and family can cool off and watch games on the big screen between slots.

Touch grass

Volunteer at a qualifier

  • Commentate, field manage, officiate, or do something else entirely. Fill out this form, and we’ll contact you soon.

Drink more water

Buy a piece of USQ merch

  • You can purchase something from our online store or pre-order USQ Cup merch. If you’d rather hold out for USQ Cup, we’ll have new merchandise featuring the updated USQ Pride logo, belt bags, and more!

Film a reel for your team

Attend a USNT training camp

  • Keep an eye on the USQ calendar to find out when and where USNT training camps will be held in 2026.

Study film of three other teams

Volunteer for youth quadball

Recruit one donor for USQ

Submit your USQ Cup trading card

  • The trading card submission form for the 2026 USQ Cup will launch in early to mid January. Stay tuned for a new and improved submission process.

If you manage to complete the entire card by the 2026 USQ Winter Classic, I’ll give you a prize... but be ready to show your work!
